Riding through a dream
Riding through the hills and villages on the back of a motorbike. Feeling the wind on your face. Gliding by the world and seeing it all in a glimpse. There’s something about cruising. Californians definitely have their car culture—people sometimes go for a drive just to drive. But not being in control can be sublime as well. If not too full, a dalla dalla in Arusha can provide the same surreal sensation. Just gliding through the world, you see it much more simply. People. Chores. Shops. Time. Daily life. TIA. I don’t think it’s easier to appreciate anywhere else. It becomes clear: Earth does not belong to us. We belong to Earth.
