Safari is the Swahili word for “journey.” It’s an apt name. Observing mystical animals in their natural habit always stirs some spiritual awakening.

I’m eager to process my photos from this journey, to finally get some good, current content on my photography page. I hope I’ve managed to capture at least a fraction of the magic.

But suffice to say, you feel privileged standing in a pop top jeep riding amongst gazelles and big cats. You feel connected to our species’ upbringing, when we would walk amongst the magnificence on the savanna floor.

I don’t think you can finish this journey without more respect: for the animals, for the environment, for where humanity came from. Safari is synonymous to surreal.
